2002
A short excerpt from Walking the Beaten Path, an experimental documentary exploring spiritual tourism in India and Nepal. This film follows two American Buddhists and records their experiences in the places that Buddhism originated. The piece looks at the wide array of encounters that occur within this space of mutual cultural longing. Throughout the film, we meet many eccentric characters, contemplate what it means to die, and approach the idea of what it means to be a spiritual consumer/practitioner in the age of globalization.
