The Relay Project is a multimedia performance/event, which utilizes sound, creative process, and dance. The project will be a performative “body relay,” which will take place in a gallery over the course of one month. The content of the work lies in its frame and structure of process, which will serve as the performance itself. Each night, a different set of people will memorize the relay project by watching it as it is performed, taking home a record of the performance, rehearsing it in the gallery the next day and then performing it for a live audience that night. In this way, the first night of the project will serve as the “original document.”
